Veribor® suction lifters come into their own when lifting, carrying and holding large-area, heavy, smooth panes, plates or construction elements in a wide variety of work situations and always ensure a firm, secure hold. 
There is a suitable solution for every trade and every sector: glaziers, carpenters, metalworkers, interior fitters, tilers, window fitters, assembly companies, gardening and landscaping, automotive companies, plumbers - with the experience of over 70 years of engineering, we have now designed over 200 brand models of premium suction lifters and fixing aids. Aluminium and plastic. Two types. One goal.

At Bohle, we have developed two Veribor® suction lifter series: Aluminium and Plastic. The most important thing about them is not their difference, but their commonality. Regardless of whether working with aluminium or plastic suction lifters is preferred: All Veribor® suction lifters meet our standards of quality, safe working and ease of work.

They are not only Made in Germany, but also Made by Bohle. Because we know that our lifting and carrying devices have to withstand a lot, we only use materials that enable us to meet this high standard. And we give you the choice.

Aluminium series

Aluminium is a robust and very durable material, resistant to heat, UV and weather. We use it to develop suction lifters that are suitable for continuous use without becoming unwieldy or too heavy. 
We produce our suction lifters ergonomically and in a simple design. Of course, we do not use lead alloys - health always comes first. Good for the environment: aluminium can be 100 % recycled and can be recycled as often as desired.

Plastic series

Plastic is a lighter base material compared to aluminium. Despite its light weight, the plastic we use for the Veribor® series is very robust, impact-resistant, and withstands the highest loads. Not only do we continuously test this, but it is also evident from the fact that the same plastic is used in motorbike helmets.

Due to its texture and mouldability, more design details can be implemented with this plastic. We use this in our Veribor® plastic series primarily to highlight important safety details. Very important: the plastic is - just like the rubber pads - PAH-free, i.e. it does not contain any carcinogenic hydrocarbon compounds. Since the material is also heat, oil, UV and weather resistant, it is ideal for use in the trades.

Rubber pads are made by Bohle. We know the right degree of hardness for every application and surface condition.

Applications

Every surface has different properties, every object different requirements. For absolute work safety and the highest user comfort, different suction lifters are needed.

Why are there different Veribor® models?

That is something you can feel and see. Every material has a different surface geometry: smooth, curved or structured. That's why there can't be one suction lifter for all requirements. Our suction lifters are specially developed for a wide variety of components: for different surfaces, sizes and weight classes. For this, our specialists work together with rubber manufacturers and scientists.

Why do we develop different suction pads?

So that our suction pads are absolutely safe. The raw material composition of the suction pads is precisely calculated for each requirement, because every surface needs a different degree of hardness and the material of the suction pads therefore needs a different proportion of natural rubber. If you look at the suction pad of a pump suction lifter, you will see a rubber lip on the outer edge of the pad. This is an important detail when it comes to vacuum formation and the holding capacity of the suction lifter. The rubber lips must also be adapted to the substrate. Ribbed structures, which our specialists also call "critical surfaces", for example, require special sealing lips and differ from sealing lips for smooth surfaces. And then the diameter of the suction pads is also important. The holding force of a pad is related to its size. Therefore, larger suction pads must also be used for larger objects.

The vacuum principle - for over 300 years

In 1657, Otto von Guericke amazed the world with his Magdeburg hemispheres. The force of two times 8 horses was not enough to tear apart two hemispheres - from which the air had previously been sucked out, thus creating a vacuum. Veribor® suction lifters also work according to this basic principle: 
When the toggle levers are actuated, the suction rubber pads bulge inwards and create a vacuum. With pump suction lifters, on the other hand, the air between the rubber pad and the substrate is pumped away by operating the hand pump. In this way, the full suction power is activated in just a few steps.

Quality guarantee

It all starts with the in-house production of the rubber pads and ends with the manual assembly of the suction lifters. The production and the corresponding quality assurance take place in Haan, located in the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Even small individual parts, supplied by long-term partners, come from within a radius of 50 km. The result is a high quality Veribor® suction lifter that keeps its promises. 
Do you work with Veribor® suction lifters on a daily basis? Then it is all the more important that the suction lifters have maximum loadability and guarantee flexible working without risks. Your safety is in our hands. This is why all Veribor® components undergo our own, multi-stage quality checks. This includes, for instance, the separate vacuum check of valve bodies and rubber pads, or the tearing test in which the suction lifter must withstand twice the maximum load. Only if this is the case, the Veribor® suction lifter obtains its tested Bohle approval.

The brand

  • "Ver" is the first syllable of the French word for "glass": verre 
  • "ib" stands for the initials of the company founder and inventor Josef Bohle. For the sake of simplicity, the letter j was replaced by an i. 
  • "or" symbolises the connection to the first company headquarters in the Solingen district of Ohligs, Rhineland.
Veribor® has been a quality brand of the Bohle Group since 1953. The unique development competence is based on decades of experience. In professional circles, the Veribor® brand name has long been known. Craft specialists know that with products bearing this name, they can rely on high occupational safety and quality Made in Germany. But only a few know what the name Veribor® actually means. We reveal the secret.
 A quick look back into the Bohle history books: After company founder Josef Bohle invented the Silberschnitt glass cutter and initially installed it as a glass cutter wheel in pocket knives, the company began manufacturing its own glass cutters in 1933. At that time, the company was based in Ohligs, the westernmost district of Solingen in the Rhineland. 
In the 1950s, Bohle expanded its portfolio with the additional development and production of suction lifters, which quickly conquered the market for the transport and easier handling of larger glass sheets.
