Vala FM – A hinge for all occasions
The new Vala FM series is an innovation in the field of flush-mounted shower door hinges. It combines uncompromising design with maximum functionality and makes both planning for architects and installation for fabricators easier and more efficient.

Just unpack it, install it, and you’re done. Vala FM is installed just like a traditional pivot hinge profile—without having to decide in advance whether it’s for the left or right side. Only when the lower mounting bolt is engaged does it automatically become a left-hand or right-hand hinge. Fast, intuitive, and maximally flexible on the job site.
Installation & Flexibility at a Glance
- Maximum flexibility: With the 90° glass-to-wall hinge, the wall screw-on plate can be rotated 180° and installed either inwards or outwards.
- True flush mounting: With 8 mm glass and with a seal, the hinge remains flush - a detail that makes all the difference, facilitates cleaning and significantly improves the appearance.

Function & mounting features
Installation is possible on both the left and right - without having to specify the handing beforehand. Vala FM combines a self-closing hinge function, integrated lifting and lowering mechanism and handing-independent installation in a single hinge. The simplified drilling pattern transfer reduces the susceptibility to errors and makes installation easier. The pendulum function ensures a defined closing position and self-centring behaviour. The system also enables a controlled lifting and lowering movement.
Construction & processing
The flush design with concealed screw fittings ensures a minimalist appearance and a high-quality surface effect. In practical use, the elastic, gap-filling seal enables clean tolerance absorption and thus reduces the amount of reworking required.
