Manual glass cutting and breaking
Scoring the glass surface releases stresses in the glass, which then leads to breakage through the controlled bending of the pane - either by hand or with a tool. Using the right tool is the only way to ensure that this breakage occurs exactly at the desired point. Products for cutting and breaking glass were among the first to be manufactured by Josef Bohle from 1923. Brands such as Silberschnitt® and Diamantor® have gained a worldwide reputation and form the basis for the product area that is one of Bohle's core competences.
