With the VENTURI boron carbide sandblasting nozzle in the ALU jacket, the nozzle inner diameter is widened by approx. 2 mm towards the nozzle outlet. This additionally accelerates the emerging abrasive. This results in an increase in performance of about one third.
The sandblasting nozzle with a collar connection of Ø 30 mm is mainly used as an injector nozzle in blasting cabinets with manual operation and automated systems. However, it can also be used as a pressure blasting nozzle in conjunction with a nozzle holder on a blasting pot. As the third hardest material after diamond and CBN (cubic boron nitride), boron carbide is ideally suited for blasting nozzles for use with highly abrasive blasting media such as corundum, silicon carbide and aluminium oxide. It is recommended that the sandblasting nozzle is always used in conjunction with an attachment nozzle. In fact, this is a prerequisite in conjunction with most blasting heads or nozzle holders. With its large funnel shape, the attachment nozzle ensures an ideal abrasive flow for optimum performance of the blasting system.
