If drills are operated at low feed rates, self-sharpening does not take place and diamond grains become blunt. The dressing stone for diamond hollow drills loosens worn grains and creates new cutting edges.

 

Application note:
After dressing, sharpen the drill bit using the BO 5000499 / BO 5000499B / BO 5000499L sharpening stone.
