VetroMount® Test certificates

For a glass balustrade system to call itself “tested”, it must fulfil numerous requirements, which, among others, can be taken from DIN 18008-4 “Glass in Building - Design and construction rules“. Part 4 of this standard particularly deals with additional requirements for fall protection glazing. They include, for example, permissible glass types, cut-outs, drill holes or types of storage.

The certification process is regulated on a national level. BS 6180 applies for Great Britain, the General Building Inspection Test Certificate (AbP) for Germany, and the Avis Technique for France, to name only three of the available certifications. VetroMount® has been thoroughly tested under the official supervision of an independent testing authority.

The General Building Inspection Test Certificate contains requirements especially for impacts against the glass panes of an all-glass balustrade. In addition, a structural calculation is necessary for the purpose of testing the glass balustrade with respect to design, construction, material or loads.
