Modern technology with high safety: The proven and particularly robust Flex technology has been adapted to the material-specific requirements by Bohle's know-how in the field of glass processing technology.
The specially developed diamond saw blade for laminated glass, ø 150 / 22.2 mm (BO 5301611), makes it possible not only to cut through the PVB laminating films with ease, but also to achieve a consistently high-quality cut without the significant glass chipping that is otherwise common. The required cutting allowance relative to the cutting dimension can therefore be kept relatively small. The optimum operating speed for glass cutting, combined with effective cooling water injection, ensures consistent thermal conditions without adversely affecting the stress behaviour of the glass edges. The standard configuration already includes a comprehensive range of accessories: The important issue of health and safety is given particular attention through key design features such as the PRCD personal protection switch, as well as the light-alloy protective hood and guide plate. The Flex diamond laminated glass saw is suitable for straight cuts in laminated glass or glass panels up to 40 mm thick. The rip fence is slid into the side guides and locked in place as required using the two toggle screws. The supplied stainless-steel sliding plate, fitted with felt to prevent scratches on the glass surface, is positioned on the saw’s base plate to fit the side recesses and clamped securely in place. In terms of both performance and cut quality, this machine offers machining capabilities that were previously only achievable with complex industrial saws. The innovative parallel guide system – available as an optional accessory and comprising guide rails, connectors and suction holders – enables particularly precise cuts with virtually any glass length. Safety glass, cast resin glass and fire-resistant glass are being used to an ever-greater extent in a wide variety of applications. Whilst multi-layered glass can only be sawn retrospectively, laminated safety glass (LSG) can also be cut and broken. However, even in this case, sawing has the advantage that the amount of waste caused by large splinters during breaking can be significantly reduced.
