The coolant concentrate Vetrocool is a transparent oil-free high-performance cooling lubricant for all types of grinding and drilling operations on glass and plastic. In addition, the product is suitable for all grinding applications on steel and grey cast iron. Effective chip and abrasion transport is ensured by the good flushing and wetting behaviour. It can also be used for machining ceramic materials (oxide ceramics and non-oxide ceramics) with diamond tools. A prerequisite for perfect system function in operation with sedimentors is the pH value stabilisation of the grinding water to < or = 9.5. For this purpose, we recommend Bohle Vetrocool coolant with approx. 5 % volume content. For warranty reasons, we strongly advise against the use of agents other than Bohle Vetrocool. Under no circumstances should so-called pH-lowering agents from DIY stores (mostly acid-based) be used. In addition to the dangers for people and the environment as well as increased machine corrosion, safe functioning of the sedimentors cannot be guaranteed with this.
