Xtramount® is a double-sided adhesive foam tape. The carrier material is white PE foam coated on both sides with pure acrylate adhesive. Xtramount® had a good initial tack and high final strength – in addition, it stands out due to its excellent ageing, weathering and plasticiser resistance. This adhesive tape is used for vertical mounting of mirrors in interior areas according to DIN EN 1036 and is also suitable for use in rooms with temporarily higher levels of humidity, such as bathrooms. Xtramount® can also be used in exterior areas. In addition, the tape is suitable for fixing other smooth materials. In this case, the application must be tested beforehand as the given indications about the required amount of tape and the application guidelines refer to fixing mirrors as per DIN EN 1036. Always keep in mind the relevant technical guidelines for the application in question.
